ADW's Full Range of Water Management Flow Monitoring Solutions to be Showcased at ASIA WATER 2026:
A Multi-Technology Approach for Precise, Intelligent, and Sustainable Flow Measurement Options for the Global Water Industry
ADW will be showcasing its full range of flow monitoring products for water management at ASIA WATER 2026 (Asia Water Treatment Exhibition) from April 7th to 9th, 2026, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia. The showcase will include innovative products such as ultrasonic flow meters, vortex flow meters, clamp-on flow meters, and lead-free flow sensors, providing the global water industry with a one-stop flow measurement solution from source to end.
Ultrasonic Flow Meter: High-Precision Time-of-Flight Measurement, Direct Digital Signal Output
ADW ultrasonic flow meters are core metering devices in water management systems, employing the ultrasonic time-of-flight measurement principle. A pair of master-slave ultrasonic flow sensors are installed within the measuring pipe section to measure the propagation time of ultrasonic waves in the fluid in both the downstream and upstream directions—the sound wave propagation speed is faster and the propagation time is shorter in the downstream direction, and vice versa in the upstream direction. This product calculates the time difference between two propagation directions using a high-precision algorithm, and based on the linear relationship between the time difference and fluid velocity, the instantaneous flow rate can be accurately calculated.
This product integrates a circuit module that processes the time difference signal of ultrasonic propagation. It directly outputs digital information such as instantaneous flow rate, total flow rate, and water flow status via serial port, eliminating the need for complex external transmitters or conversion devices and significantly simplifying system integration. The product features a built-in design with no moving parts, eliminating potential failure points due to mechanical friction and wear. It boasts low pressure loss, long lifespan, and high accuracy, making it widely applicable in home intelligent water management systems, intelligent irrigation systems, and instantaneous water heaters. Furthermore, this product has a micro-flow leak detection function, capable of detecting minute leaks. Upon detecting an abnormal leak in the pipe, it can trigger an electrically controlled valve to intelligently shut off the flow, effectively contributing to the reduction of non-revenue water.
Vortex Flow Meter: Karman Vortex Street Principle, High Stability Measurement in High Flow Scenarios
The ADW vortex flow meter measures flow rate based on the Karman vortex street principle in fluid mechanics. When fluid flows through a vortex generator (flow stagnant element) installed in the measuring tube, regular vortices are alternately generated on both sides of the generator, forming a so-called Karman vortex street. The frequency of vortex generation is directly proportional to the fluid velocity. The sensor detects the vortex frequency through a high-sensitivity piezoelectric element and calculates the fluid flow rate using an intelligent algorithm. The measurement results are unaffected by changes in medium temperature, pressure, and density, exhibiting excellent stability.
In practical applications in the water treatment industry, vortex flow meters are widely used in key areas such as raw water metering in influent pipe networks, aeration flow monitoring in biological treatment units, and return and discharge metering in sludge treatment lines. Their stable signal output allows seamless integration with PLC or DCS systems, enabling fully automated process control and remote data transmission. ADW vortex flow meters are suitable for various media such as water, seawater, and chemical solutions, and are compatible with various scenarios including water cooling systems and process water monitoring, providing users with reliable and stable measurement assurance under high flow rates and wide measurement ranges.
Clamp-on Flow Meter: Non-contact, Non-destructive Installation, Compatible with Rigid Metal and Flexible Plastic Pipes
The ADW clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter is a clamp-on, non-contact fluid flow measurement device. The device continuously sends ultrasonic waves to the center of the pipe section using two ultrasonic sensors and receives the reflected echoes, measuring the propagation time of the ultrasonic waves in the pipe to calculate the flow velocity and flow rate of the liquid. Its biggest advantage is that high-precision measurement can be achieved simply by clamping it externally, without cutting the pipe or interrupting the process, effectively solving pain points such as media leakage, pressure loss, and cumbersome installation in industrial field measurements.
This product exhibits excellent pipe material compatibility, adapting to both rigid metal and flexible plastic pipes. For metal pipes, it is compatible with various metal pipes such as carbon steel and stainless steel; for non-metal pipes, it is compatible with various plastic pipes such as PVC and PPR. In terms of fluid compatibility, the device is compatible with various fluids such as water, ethanol, and chemical solutions, covering a wide range of scenarios from basic water management to fine chemical production. For fields with high cleanliness requirements, such as biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and semiconductor manufacturing, the sensor does not directly contact the liquid in the pipeline, thus avoiding contamination. This makes it particularly suitable for measuring ultrapure media and chemically corrosive media. ADW's clamp-on flow meter integrates high-precision time-of-flight measurement technology, employing a high-precision time measurement chip. It boasts a wide range and high environmental adaptability, providing an efficient and safe solution for non-destructive monitoring and leak detection in water pipe networks.
Lead-Free Flow Sensor: A Breakthrough in Environmentally Friendly Materials, a Green Choice for Global Environmental Compliance
Against the backdrop of increasingly stringent global environmental regulations, ADW has launched a flow sensor based on new lead-free piezoelectric material technology. The core component of this product uses completely lead-free piezoelectric ceramic material, whose chemical composition complies with the strict limits on heavy metal content in the EU RoHS Directive and international drinking water safety regulations. Traditional piezoelectric ceramic sensors are made from lead-containing materials, posing potential hazards to the environment and human health. ADW's lead-free sensor, based on the company's long-term investment in piezoelectric ceramic technology, uses independently developed lead-free materials, meeting the most stringent global environmental standards, making it possible to build a completely environmentally friendly ultrasonic flow metering system.
ADW's lead-free flow sensor detects flow velocity and calculates flow rate using ultrasonic measurement technology. This ultrasonic metering solution requires no other moving parts, generates no eddies during measurement, and does not affect the fluid's velocity or direction, resulting in low pressure loss and more accurate results. The product is compact, with a probe diameter of 16.8mm, matching the size of standard ultrasonic water meters, and can be widely used in smart water meters, smart irrigation systems, building water management systems, and whole-house water purification systems. Furthermore, ADW, in collaboration with ScioSense, has developed a lead-free metering solution based on the AS6040 Ultrasonic Flow Converter (UFC) chip, optimizing the high-performance chip with the lead-free sensor to provide an easily integrated and complete solution for smart water meter systems. In the current context of the EU RoHS Directive tightening lead exemptions and increasingly stringent lead limits, ADW's lead-free flow sensor provides users with robust environmental compliance assurance for product exports to the global market.
